The strawberry tree, scientifically known as Arbutus unedo, is an evergreen shrub or small tree that can exceptionally reach a height of 7 metres (though is usually 4 to 5 metres high). This small tree has a reddish trunk covered in grey “scales”.

It is an evergreen plant, whose leaves are dark grey and glossy, long and broad, with a serrated margin.
